Keyless Entry System Inoperative

  1. If power door locks do not operate correctly, see appropriate DOOR LOCKS - POWER article. If power door locks do operate correctly, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) connector C2. Connect test light between connector terminal "A" (Orange wire) and ground. If test light lights, go to next step. If test light does not light, repair open or short to ground in Orange wire to RCDLR.
  3. Connect test light between connector terminals "A" (Orange wire) and "F" (Black/White wire). If test light does not light, repair open circuit in Black/White wire. If test light lights, check for poor connections at RCDLR. If connections are okay, program a known-good transmitter. If system is still inoperative, replace RCDLR.
