Cannot Change Modes

  1. Turn park lights on. If park lights turn on, go to next step. If park lights do not turn on, repair as necessary.
  2. Set content theft deterrent system by locking doors using door lock switch or remote keyless entry transmitter. If horn and exterior lights activate, go to next step. If horn and exterior lights do not activate, repair as necessary. See HORN IS INOPERATIVE WHEN TAMPER SIGNAL IS ACTIVATED or EXTERIOR LIGHTS ARE INOPERATIVE WHEN TAMPER SIGNAL IS ACTIVATED under TESTING  in GRAND PRIX.
  3. Lock doors using door lock switch or remote keyless entry transmitter. Unlock doors using key cylinder lock switch. If doors unlock, replace Body Control Module (BCM). If doors do not unlock, repair as necessary.
