System Check
- With all windows closed, turn ignition switch to RUN position. Briefly (less than .3 second) press left front window switch on master switch assembly to DOWN position. Front left window should descend a small distance, then stop.
- Press left front window switch on master switch assembly to DOWN position for more than .3 second, then release. Left front window should descend completely (express mode).
- Press left front window switch on master switch assembly to UP position. Window should raise as long as switch is held in UP position, then stop when switch is released (no express). Repeat step 2 . While window is moving down in express mode, press switch to UP position. Window should stop express decent.
- Lower and raise other windows from master switch assembly. All windows should operate quietly and smoothly through full range of travel.
- Lower and raise each window from individual window switches. All windows should operate quietly and smoothly through full range of travel.
- Place window lock-out switch on master switch assembly in LOCK position (if equipped). Rear windows should not operate from individual switches, but operate normally from master switch assembly. If power window system does not function properly, perform PRELIMINARY INSPECTION .
