Instrument Panel Module RECALIBRATION

  1. Ensure scan tool has been updated with latest software version.
  2. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located on lower left side of instrument panel, near steering column.
  3. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  4. Select INSTRUMENT PANEL MODULE.
  5. Select SPECIAL FUNCTIONS. Scan tool will recalibrate IPM with latest version.
  6. Select MISCELLANEOUS TEST.
  7. Select IPM RECALIBRATION. Scan tool will recalibrate Instrument Panel Module (IPM) with latest version. To verify proper version has been installed, perform the following steps:
    • Select DATA DISPLAY.
    • Select MODULE INFORMATION.
    • View calibration ID number. Calibration number must match version loaded on scan tool.
    WARNING:

    After programming, perform the following to avoid future misdiagnosis:

    • Turn ignition switch to OFF position for 10 seconds.
    • Connect scan tool to data link connector.
    • Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
    • Use scan tool in order to retrieve history DTCs from all modules.
    • Clear all history DTCs.
