Programming Verification
- Using Tech 2 scan tool, clear DTCs.
- Attempt to start engine.
- Repeat Service Programming procedure if engine does not start or operates poorly. Perform the following procedures before programming PCM:
- Ensure Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Data Link Connector (DLC) connections are okay.
- Ensure Techline operating software is up to date.
- Ensure calibration part number is correct for vehicle.
- Attempt to program PCM. If PCM still cannot be programmed properly, replace PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Ensure that all connections are secure at the following locations:
- Off-Board Programming Adapter.
- Tech 2 scan tool.
- Control Module.
- Techline terminal.
