Removal Procedure

Important: When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if a screwdriver, awl or metal object is used to remove the switch from the harness.

NOTE: Apply protective coating/tape at the insertion point of the small flat-bladed tool in order to prevent damage to the inner door trim panel.

Insert a plastic flat-bladed tool at the front edge of the switch mounting plate. Press the tool rearward in order to release the mounting plate retainer.
Using a small flat-bladed tool, carefully release the mounting plate retainers and remove the power window switch.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window switch.
Remove the switch from the door.
