Removal Procedure

Important:  When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if a screwdriver, awl or metal object is used to remove the switch from the harness.

NOTE: Apply protective coating/tape at the insertion point of the small flat-bladed tool in order to prevent damage to the inner door trim panel.

  1. Insert a plastic flat-bladed tool at the front edge of the switch mounting plate. Press the tool rearward in order to release the mounting plate retainer.
  2. Using a small flat-bladed tool, carefully release the mounting plate retainers and remove the power window switch.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window switch.
  4. Remove the switch from the door.
