Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

NOTE: TP sensor is not adjustable. For further testing procedures, perform TP sensor related diagnostic test. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
TP SENSOR ADJUSTMENT VOLTAGE

Application (1) Volts

(1) Range is from idle to wide open throttle.
(2) The scan tool range is 0-100 percent. TP angle is computed by the PCM from the TP sensor voltage. TP angle should display 0 percent at idle and 100 percent at wide open throttle. The scan tool voltage range is 0-5 volts. The voltage being monitored by the PCM on the TP sensor signal circuit.
