Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left instrument panel sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the accelerator cable (5) from the accelerator pedal (1).
  3. Squeeze the accelerator cable cover tangs and push the accelerator cable through the cowl (4).

  5. Remove the cruise control cable from the throttle body lever.
  6. Remove cruise control cable from the bracket.

  8. Remove the accelerator cable from the retaining clip.

  10. Remove the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever.
  11. Remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket.

  13. Remove the accelerator cable from vehicle noting cable routing.
