Installation Procedure

  1. Install the accelerator pedal (1) to the cowl (4).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Caution and Notices.
  3. Install the accelerator pedal bolt (3) and the stud (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt and the stud to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  4. Install the accelerator cable (5) to the accelerator pedal (1).
  5. IMPORTANT: Inspect for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator pedal. Inspect for poor carpet fit under the accelerator pedal.
  6. Install the left instrument panel sound insulator. Refer toCloseout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
