Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the PCM to the connectors.

    Tighten:  Tighten the connectors to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  2. Fig 1: View Of Air Cleaner Housing, Bolts, PCM & Harness

  3. Install the PCM (4) and the harness into the air cleaner housing.
  4. Install the air cleaner housing cover assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  6. The new PCM must be programmed. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Programming.
