Installation Procedure

With the throttle valve in the normal closed position, install the TP sensor into the throttle body assembly.
Apply thread-locking compound on the screws. LOCTITE 262®, GM P/N 1052624, or equivalent should be used.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the two TP sensor attaching screws.
Tighten: Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
Install the TP sensor electrical connector to the TP sensor.
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L36) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L67) in Engine Mechanical.
