Circuit/System Verification
- Observe the DTC Information with a scan tool.
- If the scan tool displays that any other DTCs also failed this ignition, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If only DTC P0016 is displayed, continue with Circuit/System Testing.
IMPORTANT: If you cannot duplicate the condition, operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records. - Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTC P0016 should not set.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame Records data.
