Installation Procedure
- Install EBCM to the BPMV (1, if removed. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .
- Install BPMV/EBCM assembly to the mounting bracket.
- Install the 2 nuts (1) securing the BPMV assembly to the mounting bracket (2).
Tighten: Tighten to 10 N.m (84 lb in).
- Install the BPMV bracket to the strut tower.
- Install the 3 BPMV mounting nuts (2).
Tighten:
- Tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Reposition any lines or hoses that were moved out of place.
- Install the master cylinder brake pipes into the BPMV.
Tighten: Tighten the fittings to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Install the 4 wheel brake pipes on the BPMV.
Tighten: Tighten the fittings to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the EBCM to BPMV electrical connector.
- Connect the EBCM harness electrical connector.
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- Install the cruise control module, if equipped.
- Perform the automated ABS bleed procedure. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .

CAUTION:
Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
IMPORTANT:
If a new BPMV is being installed, remove the shipping plugs from the valve openings as necessary.
