Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
  2. Test for less than 5.0 ohms between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground.
    • Terminal 12 X1
    • Terminal 15 X1
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the IGN circuit terminal 8 X1 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the IGN circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If the circuits tests normal, replace the EBCM.
