Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, a Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn , for the 4.6L engine or Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn for the 3.9L engine must be performed.

• Engine replacement
• Any engine repair that disturbs the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor or its relationship with the crankshaft reluctor wheel
• CKP sensor

If the throttle body is replaced or a throttle body cleaning procedure is completed, the Throttle/Idle Learn procedure must be performed. Refer to Throttle/Idle Learn .
