Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 GMC Acadia, 2013 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2013 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the infrared module.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 5.0 ohms between the ground circuit terminal 12 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, rear audio ON, test for 10.0-11.0 volts between the supply voltage circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the voltage supply circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear audio/HVAC module.
- If greater than the specified range, test the voltage supply circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear audio/HVAC module.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the infrared module.
