ECM Replacement

If the engine control module (ECM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:

1. ECM Reprogramming-Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
2. Theft Deterrent-Refer to Immobilizer System Component Programming (without BTM) , Immobilizer System Component Programming (with BTM) .
3. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learn-Refer to the following:
   • For vehicles equipped with Automatic Transmission - 6T30/6T40/6T45/6T50, refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learn .
   • For vehicles equipped with Automatic Transmission - 6T70/6T75, refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learn .
4. The CKP System Variation Learn-Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn .
5. The Throttle/Idle Learn procedure-Refer to Throttle/Idle Learn .
6. Engine Oil Life Remaining-When available, use a scan tool to reset the Engine Oil Life Remaining back to the original percentage recorded before the module was replaced.
7. Transmission Fluid Life Remaining-When available, use the scan tool to reset the Transmission Fluid Life Remaining back to the original percentage recorded before the module was replaced.
