Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator control module cover (3).
  2. Install the generator control module cover fasteners (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  3. Install the generator control module cover fastener (2) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  4. Install thedrive motor battery cooling blower motor. Refer to Drive Motor Battery Cooling Blower Replacement .
  5. Install the generator control module cooling air outlet duct. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling Air Outlet Duct Replacement .

  7. Install the high voltage 3-phase cable (2) to the generator control and battery module. Tighten the nuts (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  8. Install the 12V cable (3) to the generator control and battery module. Tighten the nut (4) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  10. Install the body harness connectors (1).

  12. Install the drive motor battery cooling air inlet lower duct.
  13. Install the drive motor generator battery bracket. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Battery Bracket Replacement .

    NOTE:

    Make sure the duct is flush against the seal for efficient generator control and battery module cooling.

  15. Install the intermediate duct retainers (1) to the generator control and battery module.
  16. Enable the hybrid battery. Refer to High Voltage Enabling .
