Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Starter & Bolt

  1. Install the starter (2).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the starter bolt (1) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  3. Install the starter ground cable (4) and the starter bolt (5) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
  4. Install the starter and generator positive cable (3) and the starter and generator positive cable nut (2) and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
  5. Connect the starter wiring harness plug (1).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
