Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Fuel Injectors And Seals

    NOTE:

    The EN-51146-2-5  calibrations tools must be installed.

  1. Coat the NEW O-ring seal (1) with a bit NEW engine oil.
  2. Install NEW O-ring seals (1) to the fuel injectors (2).

  3. Install 4 fuel injectors (3) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1).
    4. NOTE:

    DO NOT reuse the old bolt.

  4. Apply thread lock agent to 8 NEW fuel injector bolts. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install 8 NEW fuel injector bolts to the fuel injectors (3) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  6. Connect the 4 fuel injector wiring harness plugs (2).
  7. Install the fuel injector rail assembly. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Removal and Installation .
