Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) 
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Transfer Case Replacement - Remove
    4. Fig 1: Engine Coolant Heater Cord

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
  5. { If equipped }Engine Coolant Heater Cord (2) - Disconnect
  6. Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (3) - Remove
  7. Battery Positive Cable (4) - Remove

  8. Starter Mounting Nut (1) - Remove
  9. Starter Mounting Bolt (2) - Remove
  10. Starter (3) - Remove
