Preliminary Procedure Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement . Remove the communication interface module bracket. Refer to Communication Interface Module Bracket Replacement (Encore) .
1	Communication Interface Module Battery Procedure Slide the battery out of the bracket. Disconnect the electrical connections. For programming and set up procedures, refer to Control Module References .

Communication Interface Module Battery

Procedure

Slide the battery out of the bracket.
Disconnect the electrical connections.
