Installation Procedure
- Install the generator (4) into position and tighten the mounting bolts (1) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Install the generator mounting stud (3), if necessary and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the generator mounting nut (2) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Install the battery positive cable (2) to the generator stud and tighten the fastener (1) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Connect the engine harness connector (4) to the generator (3).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
- Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve hose. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Hose Replacement .
- Position the evaporative emission canister purge tube. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement .
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
