WARNING: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Warning . WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement . Remove the instrument panel center air outlet duct. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct Replacement .
1	Instrument Panel Airbag Fastener (Qty: 6) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)
2	Airbag Instrument Panel Module Assembly Procedure Ensure that the instrument panel airbag assembly is fully deployed before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping . Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . NOTE: Replace the accessory wiring harness retainer (passenger airbag retainer), if necessary.
3	Accessory Wiring Harness Retainer Procedure Replace the accessory wiring harness retainer (passenger airbag retainer), if necessary.
