Circuit/System Verification

DTC C056E set with symptom byte 42, 45, or 46

1. Ignition ON.
2. Verify that DTC C056E is not set.
   • If DTC C056E is set 
   1. Program the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets, replace the Steering Gear.
      • If the DTC does not set
   3. All OK.
   • If the DTC C056E 41 is not set 
3. All OK.

DTC C056E 4B

1. Ignition ON.
2. Verify that DTC C056E 4B is not set.
   • If the DTC C056E 4B is set 
   1. Calibrate the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets, replace the Steering Gear.
      • If the DTC does not set
   3. All OK.
   • If the DTC C056E 4B is not set 
3. All OK.

DTC C056E 5A

1. Verify that DTC C056E 5A is not set.
   • If the DTC is set 

     Replace the K43 Power Steering Control Module.

   • If the DTC is not set 
2. All OK.
