Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

- Open the battery fuse block cover (1).
- Loosen the battery positive cable clamp fastener (2).
- Remove the battery fuse block (3) from the battery positive post (4) and set aside.

- Remove the battery retaining bracket fastener (2) and detach the retainer bracket (1) from the top of the battery.

- Using the battery assist handles (1), remove the battery (2) from the engine compartment.
