Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove Strut Assembly - Strut Assembly Removal and Installation

  3. Install the strut assembly (2) in the CH-45400  compressor (1).

    NOTE:

    The front spring is sufficiently compressed when the strut moves freely.

  5. Turn the spring compressor forcing screw (1) until the front spring (2) is sufficiently compressed.
  6. Use a suitable tool to hold the strut rod and use the CH-42991  socket to remove the front suspension strut nut.
  7. Loosen the forcing screw (1) until the tension on the front spring (2) is released.
  8. Transfer or replace the strut assembly components as necessary.
