Components & Functions: Sensors

Two disc-type thermistors are used to monitor in-car and outside temperatures. The in-car sensor is mounted behind slots on the instrument panel top cover while the ambient temperature sensor is attached to the plenum chamber, sensing air temperature entering evaporator. The thermostatic compressor cycling switch is also mounted on the evaporator case.
