Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

Fig. 77 Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) sensor replacement:

1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from MAT sensor, then carefully back sensor out of engine, Fig. 77.
3. Reverse procedure to install. Apply suitable sealant to sensor threads and torque to 15 ft. lbs.
