Entering IPC System Self-Diagnostics
The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) does not produce trouble codes in relation to system malfunctions. The IPC does, however, have self-diagnostic capabilities. To access the self-diagnostic capabilities of the IPC system, complete the following:
- Enter self-diagnostics. See ENTERING SELF-DIAGNOSTICS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in this article.
- Display trouble codes stored in memory. See DISPLAYING TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in this article.NOTE: Although there are no IPC system trouble codes, all trouble codes in memory must be displayed as part of the procedure for entering the IPC self-diagnostic system.
- Select IPC system for testing. See STEP 1: SYSTEM SELECTION under MANUAL OPERATION OF SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in this article.
- Select INPUT test. See STEP 2: TEST TYPE SELECTION under MANUAL OPERATION OF SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in this article.NOTE: INPUT tests are the only applicable IPC system tests. DO NOT select any other available test types.
- Select the specific test type. For selection procedures, see STEP 3: SPECIFIC TEST SELECTION under MANUAL OPERATION OF SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in this article. Then, return to this section and see IPC SPECIFIC INPUT (II) CODES for list of available IPC specific input tests.
