Entering PCM Output Cycling
To enter PCM output cycling, complete the following:
- Start engine and allow to idle.
- Move cruise control switch to ON position.
- Turn engine off. Within 2 seconds, turn ignition on.
- Enter diagnostics and display "E.9.5."
- Depress LO button to initiate the output cycling mode. The FDC will alternately display "E.1.2" and "E.9.6" and all of the devices in the following table will be cycled on and off at 3 second intervals:PCM OUTPUT CYCLING
Display Parameter E.0.0 No Outputs Cycled E.0.1 Canister Purge Solenoid E.0.2 VCC Solenoid E.0.3 EGR Solenoid E.0.6 ISC Motor E.0.7 Cruise Vent Solenoid E.0.8 Cruise Vac. Solenoid E.0.9 Shift Solenoid "A" E.1.0 Shift Solenoid "B" E.1.1 A/C Clutch Relay E.1.2 Cycle All Devices - Devices can by cycled individually by repeatedly depressing HI to advance to the next displayed parameter number or LO to return to a lower parameter number. "E.0.0" (no outputs cycled) can also be selected in this manner. No outputs are cycled with "E.0.0" displayed.
