Segment Check

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1988 Cadillac Allante and 1987 Cadillac Allante. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The purpose of illuminating the IPC and CCDIC is to check that all segments of vacuum fluorescent displays are working. On IPC, however, the turn signal indicators do not light during this check. Diagnosis should not be attempted unless: all CCDIC segments appear, as this could lead to misdiagnosis, If any portions or segments of CCDIC display are inoperative, it must be replaced.
