PCM MEM-CAL Malfunction

If PCM fails to receive data from MEM-CAL, PCM will stop sending data on circuit No. 526 and Code F32 will be set immediately. See BCM-TO-PCM DATA MALFUNCTION IN CIRCUIT NO. 526.

If hard Code F32 is displayed, check to see if PCM can turn on its service telltales while cranking engine. If PCM is unable to turn on its telltales, it is not operating properly and should be checked using SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK chart.

If telltales work properly, observe instantaneous fuel economy display while vehicle is moving. A malfunction in circuit No. 526 will result in a constant display of "0" MPG.

If reading varies normally, cause of Code F32 is a malfunction in circuit No. 491. If no circuit problem can be found, one or both modules is unable to process data and should be replaced.
