Engine Cranks But Does Not Start
- If SECURITY light does not function correctly, see PASS-KEY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. If SECURITY light does function correctly, disconnect decoder module connector. Turn ignition on and measure voltage between module harness terminal A3 (Dark Blue wire) and ground.
- If voltage is not approximately 5 volts, check circuit and connections between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and decoder module for an open or short to ground. If circuit is okay, replace PCM.
- If voltage is approximately 5 volts, reconnect decoder module. Turn ignition on and measure voltage between decoder module terminal A3 (Dark Blue wire) and ground.
- If approximately 2.5 volts are present, PASS-Key system is operating correctly. If approximately 2.5 volts are not present, replace decoder module and see PASS-KEY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK.
