Illuminated Entry Inoperative Test

  1. Close all doors. Turn ignition off. Disconnect keyless entry module. Connect fused jumper wire between keyless entry module connector terminal C7 (Light Green/Black wire) and ground. If courtesy lights operate, replace keyless entry module.
  2. If courtesy lights do not operate, remove fused jumper wire. Measure voltage between keyless entry module connector terminal C7 (Light Green/Black wire) and ground. If battery voltage is not present, check wiring for an open or short circuit to ground. If wiring is okay, replace RAP/Illuminated Entry (RAPIE) module.
  3. If battery voltage is present, disconnect RAP/Illuminated Entry (RAPIE) module. Measure voltage between ground and RAPIE module terminal A8 (Dark Blue wire). If battery voltage is not present, repair open circuit in wiring. If battery voltage is present, replace RAPIE module.
