Diagnostic Procedure
- If DTC U1161 is also set, go to DTC U1161. If DTC U1161 is not set, go to next step.
- Remove and check RRDM MDL fuse No. 17. If fuse is open, go to next step. If fuse is not open, go to step 6).
- Do not reinstall fuse No. 17. Disconnect RRDM harness connector C1. Measure resistance between RRDM harness connector C1, terminal No. 11 (Orange wire) and ground. If resistance is infinite, go to step 5). If resistance is not infinite, go to next step.
- Repair circuit No. 840 (Orange wire) between LRDM and rear junction block for short to ground. Recheck system operation.
- Reconnect all previously disconnected components. Replace fuse No. 17 with known good fuse. Wait 10 seconds. Remove and inspect fuse No. 17. If fuse is open go to step 12). If fuse is not open, Recheck system operation.
- Reinstall fuse No. 17. Disconnect RRDM harness connector C1. Measure voltage between RRDM harness connector C1, terminal No. 11 (Orange wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to step 8). If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Repair circuit No. 840 (Orange wire) between RRDM and rear junction block for open or high resistance. Recheck system operation.
- Measure resistance between RRDM harness connector C1, terminal No. 4 (Black/White wire) and ground. If resistance is between 0-2 ohms, go to step 10). If resistance is not between 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
- Repair circuit No. 451 (Black/White wire) between RRDM and ground. Recheck system operation.
- Disconnect LFDM harness connector C1. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Tan/White wire between RRDM harness connector C1, terminal No. 15 and LFDM harness connector terminal No. 6. If resistance is between 0-2 ohms, go to step 12). If resistance is not between 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
- Repair circuit No. 2076 (Tan/White wire) between LFDM and RRDM. Recheck system operation.
- Replace RRDM. Recheck system operation.
