  5. Disconnect memory function switch. Use DVOM to measure resistance between memory switch terminal "E" and each of the following terminals:
    • Terminal "A", depress memory function switch "1" button.
    • Terminal "B", depress memory function switch "2" button.
    • Terminal "C", depress memory function switch MEMORY SET button.

For terminal identification, see illustration. See Fig 1 . If DVOM indicates less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If DVOM indicates, greater than 5 ohms, go to step 8).

  6. Disconnect driver's power window switch connector. Use DVOM to measure resistance values between memory function switch connector terminals and driver's power window switch connector terminals as follows:
    • Memory switch "A", window switch No. 3 (White wire).
    • Memory switch "B", window switch No. 2 (Purple wire).
    • Memory switch "C", window switch No. 4 (Orange wire).

If DVOM indicates less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If DVOM indicates greater than 5 ohms, go to step 9).

  7. Replace driver's front power window switch. See DOOR SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacement, perform MEMORY SEAT SYSTEM CHECK (A45 WITH AL2)  or MEMORY SEAT SYSTEM CHECK (A45 WITH AC9)  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  8. Replace memory function switch. See DOOR SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacement, go to MEMORY SEAT SYSTEM CHECK (A45 WITH AL2)  or MEMORY SEAT SYSTEM CHECK (A45 WITH AC9)  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
