DTC U1301: Class 2 Short To Battery: Description

During normal vehicle operation, modules on class 2 serial data link monitor data link to exchange operating information and commands. Modules on serial data link send a State Of Health (SOH) message about every 2 seconds to verify system is operating properly.

DTC U1301 will set when system voltage is in normal operating range (9-16 volts), no valid messages are detected on class 2 serial data link, and a high voltage level is detected for 3 seconds. When DTC U1301 is set, no other class 2 DTCs can be set. A current DTC U1301 will clear when a valid class 2 message is detected or at end of current ignition cycle. A history DTC U1301 will clear when scan tool is used.
