Window Regulator: Removal

  1. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  . Remove appropriate door module. See DOOR MODULES  . Remove water deflector.
  2. Remove inside handle assembly (4) to gain access to window clamp attachment bolts:
    • Carefully pry front of assembly (4) rearward.
    • Pull front of assembly (4) outward.
    • Slide assembly (4) rearward to remove. See Figure or Figure .
  3. Disconnect handle rod (3) from clip guide (2). See Figure .
  4. Connect power window switch and door module. Raise window to full up position. Tape window in place.
  5. Loosen window clamp attachment fasteners. Lower regulator clamps (2) to full down position. See Figure .
  6. Disconnect electrical connector from window regulator motor.
  7. Remove window regulator to inner door panel fasteners (2, 3). Remove window regulator (1) from inner door panel. See Figure .
