DTC B1658: Body Control Module Checksum Error: Description

EEPROM checksum error detection is handled inside Body Control Module (BCM). No external circuits are involved. BCM retains an inverse copy of digital value stored in certain blocks of memory in EEPROM. BCM reads information from those certain blocks and adds stored inverse value to current value. If informations does not equal zero, BCM sets DTC.
