DTC P1564: Powertrain Control Module Detects Rapid Acceleration: Testing
- If cruise control diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If cruise control diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform CRUISE CONTROL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- If no other DTCs are stored, go to next step. If any other DTCs are stored, repair those DTCs first. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Verify with customer DTC was not stored due to icy roads, or slippery road condition or driver actions. If DTC was stored due to road conditions, go to next step. If DTC was not stored due to road conditions, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS .
- Explain system operation to customer, and clear DTCs. System should operate normally at this time.
