Removal Procedure

Important: The door ajar switch is contained within the lock. Therefore, removal of the lock will include the removal of the door ajar switch.
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door . .
- Remove the rear run channel from the door. Refer to Window Run Channel Replacement .
- Remove the lock rods from the lock.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lock (1).
- Remove the lock rod guide from the door lock (1).
- Remove the bolts that retain the lock (1) to the door.
- Remove the lock (1) from the door.
