Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

The lumbar massage module is hooked on the seat back frame cross brace and fastened to the seat belt shoulder strap adjuster tower with hook and loop material in order to hold the module in place.

  1. Remove the seat back trim panel. Refer to Seat Back Trim Replacement - Front 
  2. Locate the massaging lumbar module (1) on the seat back frame, next to the shoulder belt adjuster tower, hooked to the seat back frame cross brace (3).
  3. Release the hook and loop material (2) that retains the massaging lumbar module (1) to the seat back frame.
  4. Push up on the massaging lumbar module (1) in order to un-hook the massaging lumbar module (1) from the seat back frame cross brace (3).

  6. Remove the massaging lumbar module (1) from the seat back.
  7. Disconnect the massage lumbar module (1) electrical connector.
  8. Remove the massaging lumbar module (1).
