Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sierra, 2003 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2003 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat belt assembly. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT-REAR (EXTENDED CAB) or SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT-REAR (CREW CAB)
  2. Install the quarter panel to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the quarter panel trim screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the quarter panel trim screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement-Front   .

  5. Install the armrest.

  6. Install the armrest screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the armrest screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the rear window molding. Refer to Molding Replacement-Rear Window Lower   . 
  8. Install the rear seat if necessary. Refer toSEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (EXTENDED CAB W/4TH DOOR) or SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (EXTENDED CAB) or SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (60/40 SPLIT) .
