Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing/Installing Key Alarm Connector To/From Ignition Lock Cylinder Case

  1. Install the lower case ignition switch (2) to the steering column.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the ignition switch retaining screws (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb. in.).

  3. Connect the ignition switch electrical connectors.

  4. Install the theft deterrent module (2) to the ignition lock cylinder case (1).
  5. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement (Power Tilt)  or Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement (Manual Tilt) .
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
