Power Recliner Sensor Replacement - Front

Power Recliner Sensor Replacement - Front

Callout Component Name
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat back cushion finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Back Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  5. Remove the head restraint guides. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement .
  6. Remove the inflatable restraint front seat side module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Front .
  7. Remove the seat back cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  8. Remove the seat back side outer cover.
  9. Remove the seat back side inner cover.
1 Seat Recliner Position Sensor
Tip: 
  • Remove the pivot rod retainer. Do not reuse retainer.
  • Slide out the seat pivot rod out of the seat position sensor and recliner motor.
