Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Throttle Body Assembly

Install a NEW throttle body seal.
Position the throttle body.
Position l the shift cable bracket.
Install the throttle body bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the throttle body.
Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the throttle body and MAF/IAT sensor.
Tighten: Tighten the clamps to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

IMPORTANT: Route the PCV fresh air tube under the vacuum brake booster hose and the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge valve.

Install the PCV fresh air tube.
Connect the PCV fresh air tube quick connect fittings at the camshaft cover and the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
