Component Testing

  1. Connect the AIR pump to fused battery voltage and ground and observe pressurized airflow at the pump outlet.
    • If pressurized airflow is not observed, replace the pump.
  2. Remove the AIR pump relay. Measure resistance through the relay contacts at infinite ohms.
    • If resistance measures less than infinite ohms, replace the relay.
  3. Connect the AIR pump relay coil connections to fused battery voltage and ground. Measure resistance through the relay contacts at 0 ohms.
    • If resistance measures more than 0 ohms, replace the relay.
