Remote Control Door Lock Receiver
If the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed in the order listed below:
- Perform the Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming procedure-Refer to Transmitter Programming (Domestic and Japan) or Transmitter Programming (Export - Including Canada) . Use Method 1 to perform the programming.
- Perform the procedure to set up a new remote control door lock receiver:
- Connect the Tech 2 to the vehicle.
- Select RCDLR under Module Setup in the Vehicle Control Systems menu.
- Select Setup New RCDLR.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Perform the Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the ECM-Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components (Domestic, Canada and Japan)
or Programming Theft Deterrent System Components (Export)
, selecting the Programming Theft Deterrent System Components that matches your vehicles country of origin.
During the ECM programming, select Theft Deterrent Learn for ECM (Export Only) on the SPS terminal.
- Perform the Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the SCLM - Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components (Domestic, Canada and Japan)
or Programming Theft Deterrent System Components (Export)
, selecting the Programming Theft Deterrent System Components that matches your vehicles country of origin.
During the SCLM programming, select Theft Deterrent Learn for Column Lock Module (Export Only) on the SPS terminal.
- Perform the tire pressure sensor learn procedure-Refer to Tire Pressure Sensor Learn .
IMPORTANT:
The Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the Steering Column Lock Module (SCLM) must be done first. Failure to do so may result in complications when attempting to perform the Theft Deterrent 10-Minute Relearn Procedure for the Engine Control Module (ECM).
