Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify that all manual power seat and lumbar functions operate when being controlled by the seat adjuster and lumbar switches.
  2. The memory seat module (MSM) cannot perform Memory Seat Recall, Easy Exit Setup, or Easy Exit Recall functions unless these options are activated in the driver information center (DIC). Refer to the Owners Manual to verify that these memory recall personalization options are ON.
  3. Verify that memory positions for driver 1 and driver 2 have been recorded to memory by observing the scan tool Driver Position Module, Memory Data 1 and Memory Data 2 parameters.
  4. If the lumbar vertical motor operates normal, but the lumbar vertical memory function is inoperative, refer to DTC B1825, B1850, B1860, B2355, B2365, or B2375  and follow DTC B1860 diagnostic procedure.
